A bit of a different project this. A logo from one of my friend's online game shop front. Going for that 80s retro look with the neon bright lights which make it eye catching compared to other sellers. Paired with the beach like script font, which with the brick wall also give an effect of graffiti. The one challenge was doing this all in illustrator (other than the brick wall) rather than photoshop. Due to the business being in very earlier stages we wanted a scalable logo that could be used in various places, so all effects we wanted kept in the vector format.
Below is an older draft which features an arcade machine drawn out of neon lines. We found it took away from the text itself, and wasn't the most original idea. However the icon might be used by itself in other contexts down the line.
