Student’s union event promotional print work and online branding
The promotional poster for the university organised event
As my part-time role as a school coordinator I offered to help at an event run by the student’s union and the school coordinators.
As part of this event I helped with promotion by creating the poster seen above and a Snapchat filter seen below. The bright colours were used for their appealing look and to stand out around campus. The information was clear and succinct and in a few different colours from the background image. The branded logos of the university was subtly placed at the top not to be too overwhelming and fit well. I also created many other graphics for the event itself such as graphics for the agenda, Facebook banner and profile picture, and four printed posters as part of the workshop activities for the event.

The Snapchat filter was a first for me and as such challenges using the platform for the first time such as upload size limits and getting the correct dimensions, however it worked well and was a good ice breaker to open the event and to promote to student’s who did not attend.

Overall the graphics were very well received, by those who attended and were involved in organising the event too. The branding was simple but colourful and stood out in the busy advertising space of the student campus
